Course Description: This asynchronous course introduces students to how printed projects are prepared, produced, and finished from start to finish. Students learn about common finishing techniques such as folding, cutting, binding, embellishing, and packaging, as well as specialized processes for mail and signage. The course explores how files are prepared for print, including design considerations, page setup, proofing, and quality checks to ensure accurate results. Students are also introduced to the role of software, data, and automation in modern print production workflows. Emphasis is placed on understanding how people, equipment, and processes work together to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently.
