MOBILE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

Course Description: Instruct students in the basics of maintenance of heavy equipment. Students will learn about engines, hydraulic systems, powertrain systems, lubricants, and electrical systems. They will also be taught preventative maintenance, how to use parts and technical manuals, shop safety, and tools.Engin

Notes: Completion of this course, along with Basic Equipment Fundamentals and Basic Grade & Construction Math, at a C or better makes the student eligible for a Pre-Apprenticeship Certification endorsed by Local 139–International Union of Operating Engineers. / Completion of this course at a B or better can earn apprenticeship credit at Fox Valley Technical College.
